Learn to enjoy a beautiful new world through SCUBA diving. Becoming a SCUBA diver is challenging and fun. During the five week program, in the company of a group of exciting and similarly inclined people, you will be given the chance to learn and experience the thrill of SCUBA diving. Upon completion of this course, you will be eligible to do the open water dives for international SCUBA certification. For certification, arrangements can be made to do a series of dives with your instructor locally or on your next vacation to the tropics or elsewhere. All the necessary equipment, including mask, fins and snorkel, is supplied.

The lectures are held at Tiedemann's Diving Center, Thursdays at 7:30 PM. The pool sessions will be held on Saturday afternoon at Hofstra University. This program will allow you to finish all the lectures and pool work necessary to start enjoying the exciting world of SCUBA Diving. New programs will start about every 6 weeks during the Spring, Summer and Fall. Call the shop at 516-796-6560 for future dates.

The cost of the program includes all instruction, both lecture and pool sessions, and use of needed equipment. The equipment supplied to each member of the class includes: tank, regulator, alternate air source, pressure gauge, depth gauge, buoyancy compensator, wet suit jacket (the pool is heated but using a wet suit will allow class members to become familiar with it), weight belt, weights, mask, fins and snorkel.

IT IS NOT NECESSARY TO PURCHASE
ANY EQUIPMENT FOR THE COURSE.

Each class member will need a student package (which is separately priced). The Student package includes textbook, workbook, dive tables and log book. Couples and families can share textbooks and dive tables.
